Integrated Web and Desktop
The ease of communication provided by the world wide web opens many possibilities, limited only by human imagination.
We have experience of all the important technologies in the Microsoft and wider software world, so that we can look at your requirements, and if its technically possible we can usually provide a top class solution typically at an unbeatable price.
Some of the possibilities include:-
- Connect your e-commerce website to your back office systems
- An idea for a new world beating website that requires interactive features
- Make available information on your existing systems for public, private, or paid use
- You need to get two systems or groups of users sharing information, either in the same office, or from across the world
- Develop a private or private/public website that allows people to communicate across the world
- Interface with barcode readers or turnstiles or some other remote equipment and make this information available on the web or elsewhere
- A Windows Forms application is required because it offers more functionality than a web page (or does something that the web can't do easily - this isn't a common requirement, but its possible
- Require a Web Service to provide access to your information, or need to use one to get information into your systems from elsewhere
Examples
- National Quiz. This is an internet quiz that runs to a schedule, records the time taken to respond as well as marking the questions, and runs at multiple locations nationwide simultaneously (pubs play against each other).
It needs downloadable software for the PC to run the quiz, a webservice to allow the quiz to talk back to base, and programs on the quiz server to mark the results. Users can log into the quiz website
to see how well they played, and the top 10 results are shown on the public website for anyone to see. Additionally we provided the
quiz website and internal customer management system.
- Renewal Mule. This is software that allows operators in a call centre to interact with the database, while users in the UK monitor results and pass information to the call centre via downloadable client software. Unlike quiz which is public
this system is 100% private and secure.
