Who We Are
Established since 1988, we have a real focus on making technology work for you.
Philip Johnson founded the business at a time when PC's were rare (and expensive),
with a vision to provide the smaller business with easy to use software to save on admin.
His first customer in 1988/1989 managed to double turnover without increasing the number
of admin staff required as a direct result of the new software system that Philip
designed and developed. Also the customer's staff were happier because their lives had been
made easier, and they could see their own increased contribution to the company's success.
That was around a £100k return per annum on a one off £9k investment.
While rarer, that kind of saving is still possible today due to improvements in efficiency and
time savings made possible by a systems review.
At JSD we always focus on the benefits a system can bring the customer, and hence ourselves.
Since then, we have worked for many top name customers such as Barclays Bank plc, British Airways,
British Gas, Lloyds Insurance, Sherwood plc, Swinton Insurance and Virgin Media Limited to name a few.
In 2003, having worked on various intranet systems over the years, we decided to get into
the web seriously, and produce public facing internet websites to complement our other offerings.
We have produced many websites and worked on many interesting, varied projects since then.
